The Surrey and Langley Amateur Radio clubs have jointly prepared a program that you and your amateur radio friends might be interested in attending.

The “Amateur Radio Digital Workshop” will be held on October 21st, 2006 at PEP Headquarters in Surrey BC starting sharp at 0900 hrs.  The address is 9800 – 140th Street.  Please note the change of venue from any previous information.  Refreshments and a lunch will be included and we expect the workshop will finish around 1400 hrs.

After the success of the first workshop last year that the Surrey club sponsored, many requests were received to continue the event.  It was decided to hold the event again and the Langley club is now a partner this year.

Guest speakers will include: Clint Hurd, KK7UQ; Ed Sebulsky, VE7AFC representing ICOM and D-Star; Jim Smith, VE7FO; and Fred Orsetti, VE7IO. Many topics will be covered for beginners to experts.

Draws will include a new ICOM digital radio, a Computer Interface and an IMD Meter.

It is very important to register as seating will be limited.  Please send an email to ve7ica@rac.ca with your name, call-sign, and email and phone number as soon as possible to book a seat.

For any updates, a map and contact information, etc., please visit the club websites.
