Although officially not a club event, quite a number of club members participated. For the second year running, we held it at Jeff's (VE7HPS) in New Westminster. He is on the 18 floor of a high rise, and we've had some decent luck there before. We went in with multi-op, low power. Alf (VA7AEB) did up the pictures, when he dropped in. Ben (VA7BKL) and Sheena (VA7SLS) and their son dropped by, as did another friend of Jeff's. We set up about 9:30 on the Saturday, and worked until about 6:00 p.m. Bill (VE7ISV) went back at 8:30 in the morning and we did another hour or so. Total, we had about 50 qso's, versus our 27 last year. Thanks to those members of the Langley and Surrey club that made the effort to reach us - it was very much appreciated. For those that tried, and we couldn't get you in the log book, again - a big thanks for trying. The pictures of the event are below. |
